Request a Performance

Parkland Ukrainian Dancers Society (PUDS) is Parkland County's oldest and longest running all Ukrainian dance group. We have been performing locally since 1983 and it's our passion to bring authentic and traditional Ukrainian dance to our local and surrounding communities. 

Although we are a competitive dance group, we also perform locally by request, for schools, seniors homes, festivals, as well as a variety of other venues. We have performed for cultural events, holiday events, local festivities, and more.

We currently have 6 dance groups, ranging from 3 years old to adult. We are focused and committed to keeping the traditions of Ukrainian dance alive while sharing our passion with the community. 

We will be taking requests for local performances starting in August of the new dance season 23/24. While we do not have a deadline to make a request, we will be reaching out on a first come first serve basis early in the season. If we can not fulfill your performance request in the current season, you will be added to a wait list for the following season. 

We ask that you submit the following information to info@pudsociety.ca when requesting a performance.

• Name and address of the venue we will be performing at.
• Any restrictions we need to be aware of.
• Contact name, phone number, and/or email. 
• Length of performance requested: How much time are we given to perform? (this helps us decide if all our dancers are able to perform or if we only need to send a few groups)
• At least 2-3 performance dates along with the times, day or evening hours. (This information helps us to organize days/times that best fit our schedule and yours). 
• Your deadline for us to confirm a performance. 

Please note that we are mainly a competitive dance group, therefore we ask for flexibility in scheduling so our dancers are not missing valuable practice time leading up to competitions. We begin our season in Mid September with our choreography practice beginning around end of October, first of November.

Performances will normally be set for after the new year. If you are wanting an early season performance please note that it will be at the instructor's discretion if the groups are ready to perform yet. If they are not, our instructors may work with you on setting something up for the following season. 

We do not dance all year, our season runs September - June, ending with our Year End Concert at the beginning of June. Our competition season is March through May. Our schedule is very tight and short, therefore we may need to limit the amount of performances we are able to attend within the time frame of our season. Performances we are unable to commit to will be given the option to be put on the wait list for the following season. These performance requests will be first in line.
