Code of Conduct

Parkland Ukrainian Dancers Society, also known as PUDS, adheres to a high level of ethics and has a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct and harassment.

No parent, guardian, or dancer shall exhibit bad behaviour in the form of gossip, ridicule, or disrespect towards any other PUDS dancer, PUDS member, PUDS instructors, festival adjudicators, venue, venue staff/volunteers, and other clubs at any time during PUDS participation in festivals, events, and performances. If such behavior is exhibited a first and only warning will be given, if the behaviour continues, a member/dancer will be removed from any and all upcoming performances and may result in their complete removal from the club. If at any time a member or dancer’s behavior results in PUDS being disqualified from a competition, the dancer will not be allowed to participate in the remaining events, performances and/or competitions for the season.

PUDS Executive reserves the right to approach the clubs AGM (members in good standing) to vote for the removal of any member/dancer that does not uphold our values or adhere to our code of conduct.

In extreme circumstances, PUDS Executive retains the right to remove any member and/or dancer, without a membership vote of approval, when the necessity is imminent and requires swift resolution for the safety of other members/dancers, the instructors, and the club’s assets. Reasons must include, but are not limited to, acts of physical violence, verbal assault, intentional intimidation, and/or intentional destruction of PUDS property. This includes any facility PUDS leases and the facility’s owners, board, staff, and/or patrons. The Executive will make available all information pertaining to this removal, to the membership, upon request.
